LOST - The Narrative and Expressive Properties

Image
"Lost" Complete Drawing by Fatola Israel The versatility of shades as seen in "Lost" aims to create the illusion of three-dimensionality as provided by the graceful play of light across the surface of the little boy's face, stretched further to the lines of the fabric  and the folded hands, which in themselves exude a certain emotion in their varying thickness, densities and values.  Some of these attributes are more pronounced, clearly defined, while others cast into the shadows. "Lost" fabric details - Drawing by Fatola Israel By replicating reality in the finest detail, I have simply pursued Truth, in an attempt to reveal the Truth about how the world looks, and how it works. This Project "Through Heaven's Eye's" reaches outward to describe truths of "others". Truth about humanity - by puting myself in their position, and trying to reflect with a great honesty, their innermost acclaim. experience

"Gwitter Man" encapsulates the experience of man's struggle, highlighting elements such as Hope and Optimism

*Gwitter man*   His eyes lie haunted In shades of blue and dark His life lies likewise As colours that shade the sky Even darker For his was without a glitter. Pathing  through the forest of life Twisted twigs of twines Mapped a maze along his path But this he could not see For his eyes held bowls of a sea Of troubles and obscene things He has seen. "Twilight" A Conscious Signal of Hope for the Lost Soul

Image
Fatola Israel Twilight Drawing Shall I sculpt the moon? Shall I draw the sun? Shall I paint heaven's eyes? As twilight drowns the blues, Just before the dawn. Niles of stars may cloak the sky, Or maybe not. Stuck in the dark Uncertain hands grope through murky shadows In a clumsy cavort,  Seeking heaven's eyes. What If the sky doesn't blush?  What if sunrise never rains its hues? How shall we paint the heaven's eyes On twilight's canvas? Fatola's Studio Photo My Intention for creating this piece is to signal Hope. On a more personal note,  I have been tested and have gone through quite a lot in life. I believe that whatever happens onward can only make me stronger. For the sake of being very optimistic about the Future, I have sought out to reflect that commentary through this piece and I hope the truth I have discovered, apparent in this visual representation  will also serve as a shield for the lost souls out there.

"In The Darkest Hour" An Attempt to Provoke More Actions and Conversations Against Sexual Abuse in the #MeToo Era

Image
In The Darkest Hour #MeToo My Intention: This initiative encompasses the outbursts of varying struggles of women as part of society, thereby rallying you and I to own major stakes in the transformation of our eco system. I have been observing patterns for several years, which has now accumulated. Hence forcing me to create "In The Darkest Hour" as part of my ongoing Series "Through Heaven's Eyes". My artistic contibrutiion to the #MeToo movement With several stories currently going round the media on Sexual Abuse Scandals, from the 3-10 years jail sentence of Bill Crosby (said to be the first celebrity trial of the #MeToo Era), to the recent allegation of Sexual Assault against US Supreme Court nominee Judge Hon. Brett M. Kavanaugh,  the accuser, Dr. Christine Bladder Ford says the major reason why she has come out is in her responsibility "To Tell The Truth".  Stage One " Talking about telling the truth, It is quite unfort

"ALIYA" from the series: Through Heaven's Eyes

Aliya Done on with the charcoal Medium on Paper Don't grow up. Time tells of old tales Or so the teller tells Memories may mark your light More memories may mar your night But don't forget the splash of colours Swimming through your rainbow lenses Don't forget crumbs of crawling favours Sprinkled on the sands of time Girl, don't grow up. But if you do, Don't loose your sight, For they see "Through Heaven's Eyes" A close up shot to the Drawing- Aliya done by Fatola Israel  MY INSPIRATION   My name is Fatola Israel and I just want YOU to be inspired. I have so many things to say (as an Artist, musician, and a photographer). However,  let me begin by introducing to you the very first work off my ongoing series "Through Heaven's Eyes". What do you think about Aliya's countenance? Does it make you question so many things like I do?  Does it make you feel things could be better if we take that one step?

The Voice of the Voiceless - My approach to Light, Composition, and others Elements

Image
Fatola's The Voice of the Voiceless Your understanding and appreciation of this piece "The Voice of the Voiceless" lies in my intent to create. This can be enhanced by asking the questions, "Why was this created?" and What is it's purpose?" My Candid Answer: By replicating reality in the finest detail, I have simply pursued Truth. It's very simple. The reason why I have created this piece is an attempt to reveal the Truth about how the world looks, and how it works.  My aim is to force you to confront Azeez' troublesome gaze. And I sincerely hope the truth I discover (which I believe is endless) provides a valid commentary on his condition as a human. Throughout my Project "Through Heaven's Eye's", I will be reaching outward to describe truths of "others". Truth about humanity - by puting myself in their position, and trying to reflect with a great honesty, their innermost acclaim. experiences and emotions.

"Against Her will" When Art meets Poetry

Image
Final Shot of Against Her Will Chained by the scar of nature, Stamped on her like a seal. As fettered flowers, Petals kiss soft lips On a rusted silver. Bound with gold and silver, Precious stones and gems By chaps and coincidence. She never struts by unnoticed Unintentionally, She glories in her shackles.
